Meeting Between Vietnamese Ambassador and Myanmar Think Tanks Focuses on Strengthening Economic Cooperation

The Managing Director of SRIc, Mr. Tin Shine Aung, participated in a meeting with H.E. Dr. Luan Thuy Duong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar, held at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) office in Yangon, Myanmar. 

The meeting brought together representatives from various Myanmar think tanks and professionals to discuss Vietnam’s potential investment expansion in Myanmar. Ambassador Duong expressed her interest in hearing the perspectives of Myanmar’s policy experts and young professionals on fostering closer economic cooperation between the two countries. 

During the discussion, Mr. Tin Shine Aung emphasized that while Myanmar is open to and in need of foreign investment, such investments should adhere to ethical standards and ensure the well-being of the Myanmar people. He also underscored the importance of responsible and sustainable development in strengthening bilateral relations.
