SRIc Managing Director Meets with Dr. Mohan Munasinghe at Sustainability Event in Lisbon

🌍 Mr. Tin Shine Aung, Managing Director of SRIc, met with Dr. Mohan Munasinghe during a sustainability event in Lisbon, Portugal. They discussed the ongoing challenges and opportunities in implementing the Paris Agreement, and Mr. Tin Shine Aung listened to Dr. Munasinghe’s reflections on the vision and initiatives behind the Agreement.

Dr. Mohan Munasinghe is a distinguished Sri Lankan physicist, engineer, and economist, internationally recognised for his work on energy, water resources, sustainable development, and climate change. He was awarded the 2021 Blue Planet Prize and served as Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Dr. Munasinghe is also the Founder Chairman of the Munasinghe Institute for Development (MIND).
