SRIc Managing Director attended the International Conference on “Europe as a Global Actor"

SRIc - Shwetaungthagathu Reform Initiative Centre is pleased to share that our Consulting Director, Tin Shine Aung, participated as a panelist at the 8th International Conference on “Europe as a Global Actor,” held on 15 May 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. 

He joined Panel 3: EU Foreign Policy and Strategic Engagements, where he addressed the topic: “The European Union’s Role in Myanmar’s Polycrisis Amid U.S. Isolationism Under Trump 2.0.” 

His intervention examined the evolving dynamics of international engagement in Myanmar, emphasizing the need for the European Union, as a normative global actor, to adopt a more strategic and results-driven approach in response to the polycrisis in Myanmar, particularly in the context of declining U.S. involvement under the Trump administration.
